A native of Alma, KS, Eldridge was drafted into the Army before the attack on Pearl Harbor. Nearly 30 years later, he retired from the Air Force with the rank of colonel. You’ll hear about that journey on Hometown Heroes, including his 46 missions as a B-26 Marauder bombardier with the 494th squadron, 344th Bomb Group.
