90-year-old Martin Medellin of Madera, CA appears on episode #436 of Hometown Heroes, airing September 9-11, 2016. A native of Coffman, TX, Medellin served with the 70th Infantry Division in Europe during World War II.

Medellin was just 18 years old when his first combat experience in France resulted in his being awarded the Silver Star.
