87-year-old John Smatana of Albuquerque, NM appears on episode #519 of Hometown Heroes, airing April 13-15, 2018. A native of Gary, IN, Smatana served as a Navy corpsman attached to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division during the Korean War.

Paul, What a Blessing you have brought to our Dad. John Smatana. It meant the world to him to be able to tell his story and to us his Family to hear it.
