Born, along with his twin sister, in Queens Village, NY, Bob became a plank owner – a member of the original crew – on the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga (CV-14) during World War II. Originally part of the massive carrier’s “hydraulic gang,” he eventually served in the ship’s machine shop. I recently had the distinct honor of meeting Bob the other day and had a wonderful conversation with him. Then, I listened to your podcast interview with him. I can’t even express how much I admire him and his service. I told him how much I love all our servicemen and the USA.
