Episode #658 of Hometown Heroes, airing December 12-14, 2020, presents highlights of the virtual ceremony awarding the Congressional Gold Medal to the 20,000 Chinese-Americans who served in our armed forces during World War II, in addition to the memories of two men who will receive that honor.

The face of the medal depicts Chinese-Americans in different branches of the service during World War II.
